Equality in marriage is the civil rights issue of our generation. We can't let anyone, or any group, be singled out for discrimination based on who they are or who they love.

I feel that everyone should have an equal right to marriage. Laws should be based on the people, not ones religious background. Denying the right to marriage for people only shows that in this country we are not all created equal. The minority is frowned upon and cast out of what is "normal" society. By passing a law to ban Gay and Lesbian marriage it will only make it harder for our society to view them as equals. You may not agree with same-sex marriage, but why deny an American citizen the right to marry someone they love. It's a right all Americans should have. After all, isn't this the land of the free?

I took the exam for office assistant on Sat. There were a lot of people there, I'd say over 50. I was one of the youngest. I think I will do fine. The math section was a little difficult, but math has never been easy for me. I find out in May or June if I passed, then its on to the interveiw. I went to Dori's, neices b-day party yesterday. I met more of her family and it was cool just hanging out. I talked with Annie, Doris cousin, she really wants to move out if I get the job. Lets hope so, I'll be moving to L.A. I spent around $800 on my car last week, there goes my savings. Atleast now it will run fine and I don't have to worry. I got the day off Friday and went to Six Flags with Dori and my siblings. We had a good time and went on almost all of the rides.

I finally got a reply for that job I applied for in L.A. I have to go for a 2 1/2 hour office exam on the 24th. If I get a 70% or higher I get an interveiw. If I get through that hopefully I'll get the job. Wish me luck! This job would be a blessing, the money would save me haha.

Things are going well for me right now. My car is having trouble again. I really think the transmission is going out, but those bastards at the car dealership keep insisting its something else. I might go see Thrice tomorrow night with Heather, we'll see. Have I mentioned it rocks working at a travel agency? I'm going to take a trip this summer with Dori to Costa Rica. We will be staying in Langosta right on the beach at a resort for 6 days 5 nights, only $324 all-inclusive!! It includes surfing, horseback riding, nature tour, diving, tennis, all meals and drinks, etc. I'm so stoked. I'm thinking we will go in July, woot!

So, its Friday and Fridays are awesome no matter what, but this one is special. I just got my year review for work and I thought, ok I'll get a dollar raise as usual, yeah , yeah. Well, my boss thinks I'm AWESOME at work. I just got a $200 raise on my checks. I make 2g's a month now. Tell me thats not fucking rad. I almost cried, I love this job.

My weekend at Dori's was awesome. Hung out with her familia and took the babies out to Pasadena. We went to her cousins b-day party at Chuck E. Cheese, I owned the video games..oh yess. Drank some pink panties Sat. night, that shit is bomb. Ooh they have a new flavor for Boone's, sun kissed peach mmm. D's grandpa talked with me at the b-day party and told me I was part of the family. He welcomed me to his house anytime. I feel like I have the respect of her family. They're big on tradition, so its awesome to know they see what I feel is real. She gave me a ring this weekend, just like a promise ring, I didn't really know what to say. I just love her.
I can finally relax, all my bills are paid, no more stressin. Mike didn't get his job, so I've decided I won't move out with him, hes just not reliable. Dori and I discussed getting a place when she receives aid in the fall. We'll see what happens, either way I want to be out by this time next year. Work sucks today, so many problems, too many things to do and not enough people. Back to another day of hell!

This weekend I stayed with Dori at her cousins. We watched Bowling for Columbine, its a really good documentary. Just chilled out and ate some KFC. Her cousin and her cousins g/f are in the process of moving out and they broke it off. Needless to say its pretty hectic over there, you can feel the tension. Their relationship reminds me of how my past one use to be, its a lot different seeing it from the outside. I feel really bad for her cousin,Annie, her ex treats her like shit and just little things I see that destroy her.
Anyway, on Sunday Dori and I went to my house for the superbowl and grubbed with my family. My family loves her, its good to know because I love and care for her a lot. This weekend I'm staying with her and her family at her house. Her Dad will be gone so there will be no tension. We're going to look at homes in Pasadena, thats where we'll be moving when she graduates. Its hard to explain, but I think you just know when you're with the one you're going to settle down with.
We're remodeling our kitchen. Its a bitch, I cant wait to see it finished. I'm up for my year review, which means I'll get another raise, woot!
